Brackley vs GCAFC - 30th Oct 2021
#1

Brackley league form: WWWWDWLWW
Our league form: DWLLLLLDLDL
4 day turnaround for us, they’ve had a Covid break. The last 3 away matches against them we have conceded 3 goals on each occasion.
The manager, Kevin Wilkin, played against us twice for Rushden & Diamonds in the 90’s (we won 1-0 at home & lost 3-2 away, he didn’t score) - Keith Knight scored in the win, Andy Adebowale scored in the loss - bodes well with our alliterative players Matt McClure, Jack James & Joe Jeremiah, perhaps we will score…
They’ve played 3 home matches, winning 2 & losing 1…with 4 goals for & 4 against…last home match they lost to Darlington 3-1…glimmers of hope there if you look hard enough…
On Henry Winkler’s birthday, surely Happy Days are not too far away?!

Saw Henry Winkler getting out of a car at Tredworth rd school two or three years ago as I was driving bye ? Thought I was seeing things , until I had seen later that he was supporting reading help for kids with reading difficulties .
A American  TV icon  around the world at the time in my younger life ? getting out of a car in Tredworth rd , who would have expected that ?????

I've been to Brackley 3 times, and in those games I don't remember us ever having a shot on target. Definitely never came close to scoring. I would be more than happy with a dull 0-0 tomorrow!

Nah, I expect us to be 1-0 down at h.t.
Hit the post half a dozen times, have a penalty turned down but then equalise only to concede in the 89th minute so lose 2-1.
That's the norm isn't it?

Otherwise known as a BOE.

Sorry Alex. Smile

Sticking around a while yet, thanks to a gift from a generous angel.

Caught up with Lee and Fab today after the open training session.

Lee - https://youtu.be/aN8j3VUaMro

Fab - https://youtu.be/qu7VQNjalz0

I did ask Fab another question and in true tinpot style my battery died, so to summarise that I asked if he had a message for supporters, he said that the supporters have seen it all, been through it all, seen us top, bottom and middle of the table and are still here so please continue to stick with the team and believe in them.

Just the other week Grand National winning jockey and, probably, the best jump jockey around at the moment, Rachael Blackmore visited the City Farm along with Patrick Mullins who is one of the very best amateur jockeys around.  Tredworth is the place to spot the famous!
