Came across this Link, a catalogue featuring early 1990's football kits, from Umbro and Adidas. This was before Nike, Puma, Castore came onto the scene.
I liked the Umbro kits, Manchester United went to Umbro in 1992. There first home shirt had the laced collar. Thought it looked good. Aston Villa and Sheffield United went onto have a similar design for there shirts. The Sheffield Wednesday away shirt, (I think it was in the 1992/93 season) went onto become the Gloucester City AFC home shirt in 1993/94, 1994/95. Did like that shirt, wish I bought it, at the time.

Tottenham also had a 3rd Sky Blue shirt, if I remember correctly. Arsenal played Tottenham in the FA Cup Semi Final, at Wembley 1990/91 season. Tottenham won, they wore a Hummel kit. For the FA Cup Final, they had a New Umbro kit. Seemed strange that they could change kit suppliers, during a season.

## A bit of research. Hummel had lost the kit suppliers deal with Tottenham, just before the FA Cup Final. Tottenham then went to there New kit suppliers Umbro. ##

I'm sure I read elsewhere that the kit deal with Umbro basically stopped Spurs from going under.

Anyone remember the old JJB on the corner of Northgate street? They used to sell kits for 10€ before money ruined football.
My first kit was Hibernian from Scotland and I have always looked out for their results since 30 odd years on!
My favorite kit every was Liverpool away in silver with the Candy sponsor or the red Crown paints one.

Nike first came into English football in 1994. Arsenal were the first English Club to get a Kit deal with Nike, for the 1994/95 season.
Not sure when Puma first supplied English Clubs.

Sunderland were the first English team to have had a Nike kit in 1983. Melchester Rovers then jumped on the bandwagon in 1986.

I was always lead to believe that Nikes first kit deal was with Arsenal. Just seen the Sunderland 1983 shirt, yes Nike. Learn something new.
