I love reading back through this thread. Apart from a wise comment from Shandy, most of the posts show how those of us who appear to be so knowledgeable got it so wrong. I think I've learnt to leave it to those who have been appointed to do the job, and just get behind the team! Well done Gareth and Ollie Watkins. Now let's get right behind our own team City and Mike Cook for the coming season.

I still feel like we've been awful apart from in the odd spell.  I still feel a little bit like we are achieving in spite of the manager instead of because of him.

But ultimately who cares if we win it ugly as hell if we win it!

Yes, of course, I agree. I still don't know how we beat Serbia, and I doubt the penalty against Holland. I also think Jack Grealish should be out there. But I still love reading back thru this thread. And anyway how often do things go our way ~ makes a change. As you conclude, "Who cares if, or how, we win it!"

it's a marathon, not a sprint. the first half against the Dutch was the best we've played so far, timing it just right. The Spanish will still be having a siesta and we'll be three up.

I purchased my ticket this morning and head out tomorrow.

Hoping the journey home is more jubilant than when I left Wembley in 2021

They weren't freely available - mine was through the supporters travel club - tickets only went on sale today as unlike previous tournaments they did it on game by game basis for knockout rounds. Had to apply in December(ish) then you got allocated a sale window depending on caps (loyalty points)
