Board statement

The mantra from the club since the beginning of the season has been sustainability and continues to be so. To my untrained eye that looks like the right one. One real shame is that when we'd found somebody with a bit of cash to throw at the club it wasn't invested from a sustainable perspective. Imagine if the money AP threw at the team had been used to sprinkle the necessary fairy dust on a sustainable platform. Instead the whole box of fireworks was used at once.
The board statement and emphasis on youth looks like a long journey. Hopefully at some point we'll find another football romantic/sucker/saviour/raving egotist (take your pick) to give us another push.
I'd add Euromillions winner to that list!  Wink

That is true but unless we get someone willing to throw money at it whilst we try and maximise the revenue we can make from NMP I think it’s a sensible and realistic route forward.

Paul I agree with your post likewise MeadowClark.

Its reality imo. We’ve thrown money at it and for whatever reason it hasn’t worked. ( we can all think of many clubs where that has been the case) Now it appears it will be run like 100’s of other clubs with due diligence. Never going to set the league on fire but ticking over within our means trying to get the best league position possible.
We still have a club.
