Board statement

As for Cookie he interviews well and is honest - sometimes too honest in my opinion - and if he thinks we’ll compete that gives me a small modicum of comfort.
Thought that was an interesting interview partially because of who he didn't mention when thanking people (AP conspicuous by his absence), but then I guess given the amount of flux this could be the case of reading too much into something.

I actually think this is possibly the most positive thing to happen to this football club since returning home. AP built us a stadium and gave us a few years of brilliant memories.
Colin and Rich have been absolutely fantastic as well since coming in. I’ve got so much time for them both and their plans are realistic but understanding where we’ve come from, what we’re about, and what we could be.
And as a volunteer, I can honestly say no one has treated me quite as well as Colin has in the 12 or so years I’ve been involved. The new board sounds great, there’s a good mixture of football people, Gloucester people and good business people on, and to me it feels like we’ve got a bit of that soul of the club.
They just get it, and I have no doubt they’ll all do a tremendous job.

I’ve nothing to say about the departing statement that I haven’t already said. I wholeheartedly agree with Charlie and I am praying that this is the start of an era of stability and cooperation.

The journey of coming back to Gloucester that started in 2016 was supposed to be an exciting new chapter for the club, however things don’t come that easy for us and it’s caused a lot of pain for a lot of people, but the last season is yet another set back in a long history of set backs that we will overcome.

Well I saw the interview with MC who eludes to the now statement’s from the Club.
AP ‘s statement is to the point and states his position and the new boards in that order.I can only speak as I find in relation to AP, I found him a good guy to work for, approachable, didn’t suffer fools gladly.Got us home and has given us some interesting times.
It appears that these 6 or 7 players on these two year contracts were signed by Chambers with or without the knowledge of TF or prior to his appointment .
These must include Hanks, Hamilton, Reckord. Possibly Duffus, mcgrory Durrell.
I guess the ‘ retaining list’ will be out soon enough so we can all see.
I wish the board well, have my backing and I will do my best behind the scenes to make NMP Spick and span for next season.

I really hope this is the last we have heard from Alex although I thought that a year ago and look what happened there. Given he can't even get some of the dates right in his statement I don't really believe a lot of it and he's been proven to lie about things before The fact that Alex refuses to take any of the blame for the mess says plenty about him.

Hopefully this is a new start for the club and we can have a successful season next term. It certainly seems that certain fans are giving them a chance at least unlike Patrick which is a start.

Well out with the old guard in with the new. I wish them well and will have my 100% support in anyway I can. A few of the AP snipers I’m sure will be looking for new targets.

With reference to the retaining/releasing list there can’t be many on the latter as 6-7 are contracted for next season so as has been the case for almost 1/2 season just gone MC’s hands are already tied. He does sing the new board’s praises and is positive about the next campaign so there’s no reason why we shouldn’t be.

On the pitch the one thing that would make a massive difference for me, is getting the squad properly fit.  I actually don't think the quality has been a million miles off, yes we aren't world beaters, but we've taken the lead in enough games to suggest that the squad are good enough footballers to have potentially stayed up.  I just don't think they are fit enough.  Elliot Durrell is a classic example, you see snippets of someone clearly capable of performing at this level, but it isn't much good if that's for 15-20 mins once a fortnight.

There aren't that many I'd be too disheartened to see back next year, although I'd be telling them to forget their boots for the first couple of weeks of pre season,

Having a dig around on Transfer Markt I could find 5 on contract until 2025
Reckord, Hanks, Hamilton, McGrory & Pinchard. Maybe someone else can fill in the gaps.

To my knowledge Parker and Duffus

I have it on good authority, Parker, Hamilton, Reckord Hanks.
If it’s Pinchard and Mcgrory then I can live with the latter
