OK. It's not the biggest cup in the world, our scratch side didn't play that well and a couple of the Cleeve penalties are now orbiting the earth..... but for all that.....just now it feels pretty darn good. Goodnight 23/24. Now it's onwards and upwards

Well we won.Not a classic but to score in the 93 rd minute showed a great deal of commitment.
Bishop’s Cleeve were physical and quick, never giving us any time on the ball.Theo Robinson showed a bit of class for his two goals despite fluffing his penalty kick.
Two University lads played with a central partnership of Duffus and Hamilton.
Always exciting penalties and so we limped over the line.
An amazing attendance of nearly 500 made it worthwhile.
So this debacle of a campaign has come to an end.
All I ask pre season is a bit of stability, openness where applicable and a decent team.

A win yes but out played for the most part, I can give the young guys some slack but I'm sorry the senior players out there are not good enough to get us promotion from the Southern league next season

Nice to win our first trophy in 31 years, but in the worst of circumstances after a terrible season and a very poor 99 minutes of football.

Bishops Cleeve deserved to win that for their fight, effort, and vocal fans. Fair play to them.

The only positives I would draw for us would be that Theo Robinson can finish very well, Durrell played a lovely through ball for the equaliser (amazing what he can do when he's played in an advanced position...), Teddy was lively, and we took some decent penalties. Aside from that the formation was dreadful, UDA lads out of their depth, Cleeve waltzed through our defence several times, I could go on.

Only County Cup, but nice to win, but also that performance didn't do the players or coaches any favours of building any confidence for next season.

Agreed. I thought winning was meant to feel good.

We won the cup whilst under the cosh, via a last minute equaliser and our captain scoring the winning penalty in sudden death. It sounds much better when you put it that way!

It went just like the rest of our season did, appallingly, and if Cleeve could've put the ball in the net it could've been a right pasting of a scoreline.

I could go on but what's the point, and at least we've got a pot to polish.
