well yes...not completely impossible as the Northern Premier will be needing an extra club to make up for the fact that 2 of their clubs (Radcliffe plus 1) are being promoted to the NLN but only one (Blyth) of the relegated clubs are in their catchment area. Same thing happened last season which led to Basford being strategically transferred from the SL Premier Central to the NPL without so much as a by your leave.
One problem is that there is still a large body of north eastern clubs (eg Bishop Auckland) which competes outside the pyramid in the Northern League so it's no surprise that the definition of north is moving south every year.

The Northern League is in the pyramid I thought? It sits at the same level as the Hellenic or Western League and teams get promoted to NPL Div 1.

They switch the most northerly SLPC team into the NPL a fair few to choose from I'd say.

Yes...I'm guessing it will be one of Telford, Mickleover or possibly Coalville.

I saw something on Twitter to suggest Mickleover being shifted across to the NPL.

Mickleover are the most northerly team but third at present and certain to be in the playoffs. (Telford are second so likewise).

The thing I was referring to on Twitter assumed a Telford promotion. If Mickleover were promoted you could make the same argument for Telford being moved north.

Mickleover are threatened with a 12 point deduction for fielding an ineligible player.

Yikes..they could still qualify via the last play-off place but out of fairness to everyone I hope their appeal is resolved before next Saturday. .
