Who is responsible for organising volunteers?

Someone within the club must be ultimately responsible for making sure that we are adequately staffed for matches? Or is that also down to volunteers?

A plea was sent out by myself several times but there was no one willing or able to help. Please remember there are only 3 turnstile volunteers , any help will always be welcomed.

I don’t think it made it past the first person you pleaded to TS, as we were very close and nobody approached us. The most common thing I’m hearing is ST holders saying they had to be in a big queue, making it worse. Why didn’t whoever was in charge (and I don’t mean you, Ian or Jenny, as you were obviously rushed off your feet) move goalposts and check in all the ST holders in through the big gate, like it’s done at the other end every week?
If someone had asked, I could have left Emma on programmes and draw tickets and done it myself. But no one did.

Sticking around a while yet, thanks to a gift from a generous angel.

Hiya ?
The chairman of the ST was asked before the game if someone could help - told no as everyone had other jobs to do. We tried our best but no one wanted to help but we asked before turnstiles even opened.

Well I’m sorry it only got that far, as whilst only one person doing programmes, cash draw and Golden goal isn’t ideal, it would have been preferable to people missing the first 15 minutes of the match. Was there nobody from Club staff who could have jumped on?

Claire did - it’s difficult to get a message out once people start flooding in but she came and started to let season ticket holders in via the entrance by the smoking bit. Hopefully we can all learn from yesterday as it was frustrating for everyone.

I maybe speaking completely out of turn and I’m sure I will be advised accordingly but the question I ask is who runs match day operations. Is there a chain of command. Are people including the paid stewards briefed as to their roles etc.

Thanks - I wouldn’t expect anything else from Claire helping out. The club needs more doers like her excellent.

Only 2 games left. I spoke to her recently and her job at the SL means she won’t be able to work for the Club anymore.

Given Yeovil's reult yesterday I take back that they won't bring that many and fear it could be an experience for turnstile volunteers on Thursday. I'd offer to help but I am working Thursday night.
