A win's a win but lets not get carried away; one swallow doesn't make a summer.
We scored early doors and looked good going forward for half of the first half but then got forced onto the back foot and did well to get out of our own half for the rest of the game. That said we defended well.
For me it was very similar to the Southport game, had Hanksy scored the penalty then that was against the run of play as was Elliott's goal in that game.
I thought that Brandon Smalley had a magnificent game today. He comes from Scarborough.

Still waiting for the usual post by Darran blaming AP for something. I heard it was his fault that we won today.
We are such a better side when Theo plays, all of them played for the badge today. Need more of that for the rest of the season.

I must have watched a different game because I didn’t think Scarborough offered much at all. We didn’t really seem under the cosh? Ok we never kept possession for long but neither did they.

They got the ball wide both sides and got their crosses in. Southport undid us that way.

Very happy with that. We were organised and every player did their job. Play like that every week and we’ll be fine.
Also the midfield looked balanced with Smile and Hanks there. Very happy tonight!
