No Wembley & No TV
#1

Gloucester City have never played a game at Wembley and neither have they have a match broadcast on TV either as the home team or the away team.

Whilst we may not be the highest ranked club to not play at Wembley I'd be very surprised if we weren't the one who haven't appeared on TV. Any of you boffins know any better?

Not sure Buxton, Spennymoor, Peterborough Sports or Rushall ever have and they are higher than us in the table.

I did some analysis a few years ago on who’s been on TV. I only looked at FA Cup televised matches mentioned on Wikipedia which only went back about 10 years and even that sample size there wasn’t many clubs at this level who’d not been on TV.

Worcester City on their way to Wembley at the moment, it’s never us.

We Didnt even get on TV playing against FGR in the FA cup with us being homeless, So I dont expect to see It in my lifetime unfortunatly.

Ive always felt that we are one of the that our share of bad luck is not normal, null & void season confirmed It.

Isn't it to do with the fact that even in these days of wall to wall televised football, you need to get to FACup Round 1 to ensure some coverage, something that hasn't happened for 10 seasons.

We played them in the 4th qualifying round and I think that was before the bbc started showing games from the qualifiers.

That game was chosen to be shown by the world feed so we would have been live around the world but not here. Obviously the game got called off anyway. The Fleetwood game was chosen as a main highlights game for ITV so we would have got money for that.

Worcester played Huddersfield live on TV too.

Darran, I wouldn't base it on current league position, I consider us a big club than any of them.

The league above us gets weekly televised games and soon Kings Lynn Town will have a home game broadcast. I'm not even sure I'd consider a game on the red button as a TV broadcast. I wonder who has had more games out of FGR and the Scuzz?
