Week 3 definitely stewards' enquiry material. None of us foresaw Rukh's win at Grodno nor Dinamo Brest winning at home to Minsk. Needless to say, however, the runaway train that is Shandy got the other 4 right including correct score at Vitebsk. As well as cementing his place at the front he gets unofficial tipster of the week virtual gloat award, narrowly followed by EvdF with both getting 4 out of 6 correct. No-one else got more than 2 right.
Going into the final week the question is "Who can stop Shandy?" Looks like the rest of us are playing for place money (not that there is any).

Titillating Belarussian fact of the week:- Rukh Brest was only founded in 2016 as a satellite club for Dinamo Brest. A swift couple of promotions later they went independent last season and won enhancement to the Vyscha league for 2020. The first ever league clash of the Brests is currently scheduled for 30 June.

Current standings:-

Shandy points this week 11 total 31
Eric Van der Floof 8 - 21
Meadow Clark 4 - 21
Citygull 7 - 20
Mrs Gull 6 - 19
Lee 4 - 18
Luddite 4 - 17
Sherlock 2 - 15
Daveangel 7 - 15
Shurdyrover 4 - 10
(T End ..) 7* - 13*

* Entry not received but scores allocated on the basis of my Dad's "paper football" playing cards system

Thank you, that looks like the best approach going forwards - that more than doubled my total score!  Smile

My pleasure T-End. For the record your points came from a correct score (0-0) at Vitebsk and a correct result for BATE. I'm thinking I'll use the same method for my selections next week!
