Dave I started donating to the playing budget before the flood when Burnsy was manager in fact i'm still paying it now.

Surprised to hear the possibility of the Spinnaker Road entrance come up. The Bishop and Broady owned 'ransom strip' was a bitter legal dispute in the early 90s that went to the High Court.

What's changed?

Not that long ago Bristol Rovers had a kit that really did look like the tesco bags back then!!

Is that money still going to the budget?

I know you do Sir. I’d hate to work out how much we’ve all chucked in.

If Patrick wants to consider changing the kit colour that doesn't mean he won't be able to set a budget for next season or make other important decisions. For people to seemingly suggest otherwise is crazy talk. I also suggest that the fact it is being discussed so much clearly suggests it is a pretty important topic.

I don’t think it’s not important, I just hold an alternative view. I don’t think there’s chance it won’t be discussed, and I’m sure Patrick will take it all into account before making any decisions. I personally think it’ll be a compromise, which most would be happy with. Some won’t be satisfied unless they get exactly what they want.

Don't see how that would be possible you would still have a ransom strip to cross.I know because. John Lowe and myself had to measure every yard for the then chairman k gardener???

My last word on colour of strip ,what if Patrick says one or the other will everyone except his decision ,or does this go on forever .

From reading certain posts, unless there is a certain outcome, I don't think it will ever go away. A bit like Brexit!

I will go on record and say if there was a vote I would respect the outcome 100%

I think most fans would respect the outcome to be fair.

It’s just up for debate now with a new chairman who has to make the decision.

Or Scottish Independence  Tongue

Seriously though, isn't it time this thread was put to bed? It seems to have gone off and become fixated on a single topic.

If there were to be a poll, I know which way I'd vote - given a free choice I'd vote for BLUE (lifelong Toffee), but would accept the majority decision (as I did with Brexit in spite of being a Remainer).

I never heard anything about the previous Votte vote, like several other people, who like me probably don't use social media (no, that's not two 'likes' as on social media Wink ).

As others have said, although this is obviously a very important topic for some, in my opinion there are more important things and I agree with Patrick's idea that we need to concentrate on improving the spectators' experience to increase the average attendance if the club is to be self-sustaining. I'm also very happy at the idea of returning to a paper programme.

Also, as others have stated, the best way of improving attendances is to improve results - people love winners.
