Meet the Chairman Questions

I know it might be awkward but my point wasn't about having fancy infrastructure it was about making fans want to come back. We came, we didn't see so we didn't go again.

Yes the original decision caused upset and wasn't handled with the care maybe it should have been, to revert now though may cause the same ill feeling.  I think maybe the one thing we can all agree is that its not an enviable position to be in to have to make that kind of decision, or comment on that decision before your name is even above the door.

The VOTTE poll showed that 75% of fans want yellow and black

Well said. And it would also mean having to change the seats. Extra expense that we dont need. Stick with what we've got and move on.

Who is going to be angry about changing the current colours? I agree we may have some new fans who have only seen us in the current colours but I’m sure they are aware of our history and probably wouldn’t be that bothered. Like I say though I would hope Patrick would be open to a fan vote on it and we can see where the opinion is.

A stable not in debt club with a successful team on the pitch. If we were to play in luminous green it matters not a jot. Most premier league clubs and many ELF change the design ( albeit not the colour) every season as it generates revenue.

The history is red. That was where we started!

Why would it mean changing the seats? York’s ground has multi coloured seats and I couldn’t care less what colour the seats are.

Fair enough it doesn’t matter to you but it does to others especially given the way the decision was made in the first place. Leaves a sour taste in a lot of peoples mouths.

So basically what you are saying is that fans who have watched us for a season hold more weight than long term fans?

I do agree though that Patrick handled the subject well last night.

Well we'll beg to differ. I'm a traditionalist, and like seats to match team colours.
