7th August 2017.
Gloucester City 0 - 3 Truro City.
(Vanarama South).
This fixture was a midweek match, which was being played on a Monday night. This was Gloucester's first home league fixture, playing home games at Evesham United's Jubilee Stadium. This season, Gloucester had been put into the National League South, after previous seasons playing in the North division.
This match turned out to be one to forget, for Gloucester. The crowd of 352 saw Truro run out 3 - 0 winners.

11th August 2006.
Staunton and Corse 0 - 14 Gloucester City.
(Pre Season Friendly).
Thought that it was worth mentioning about this match that we played in 2006. Believe this game was played on a Friday night. At this time, I lived around a mile from Staunton. I went to playschool at Staunton Village Hall. For some reason, I only knew about this game being played, the day after. Don't think I was on the web at the time.
Gloucester ran out comfortable winners. The City goalscorers were, Luke Corbett (3), Jody Bevan (3), Joe Tustain (3), Jason Welsh (2), and goals from Lyndon Tompkins, Aaron Wilson, and Adie Harris.

25th August 1997.
Gloucester City 1 - 0 Merthyr Tydfil.
(Dr Martens Premier).
Hopefully this fixture might be an omen, for Monday's August Bank Holiday home fixture, v Merthyr Town.
On this date in 1997, City were at home to ex Vauxhall Conference side, Merthyr Tydfil, in a Monday Bank Holiday match.
A crowd of 823 was at Meadow Park, to see the English side play against their Welsh opponents. Gloucester won the match 1 - 0, striker Paul Adcock scoring the only goal.

1st September 2001.
Cirencester Town 2 - 1 Gloucester City.
(FA Cup, Preliminary Round).
City were in FA Cup action, away at Gloucestershire rivals, Cirencester Town. A crowd of 207 was at the match. Unfortunately for City Player/Manager Chris Burns, it was Gloucester that got knocked out, at this early stage of the Competition.
Chris had played for Portsmouth, in the FA Cup Semi Final, in 1992. The opposition was Liverpool, this game was played at Arsenal's Highbury Stadium.
Gloucester were defeated, 2 - 1. Gary Marshall scored Gloucester's goal.
