Another player who was similar to Connor Waldron, is Michael Whittington. He had two loan spells with us, scored a bag full of goals in both spells.
I think we signed him on loan from C********m Town. Couldn't believe it when we signed him on a permanent basis. Didn't seem to look the same player, at this point.
Can't recall where he went to after us. Think it might have been Yate Town. Seemed to disappear.

That Michael Whittington loan spell was Gloucester City heritage. Maybe the best loan signing we’ve ever had in my book!

He had a spell at Cinderford , but was sometimes a sub.Never looked the player he was at City.Looked like he had lost his desire to play.
Connor Walden rescued us with some good goals at Whaddon Rd.
Must not forget that Charlie Griffin signed by Tim Harris had a big contribution in keeping City up several seasons ago.

Is there anyone out there who can rescue us again?

Michael Oakes wants a word

RE: On this day - SHANDY LOVE MACHINE - 30-12-2023

Surely it's that guy Richards we picked up at the beginning of the season, recently left.......

Yes, the best keeper we have ever had, went on to play for AV in the premier league.

RE: On this day - Neil - 30-12-2023

That was a proper loanee wasn't it. I think he was Villa's actual third choice at the time. I hate to think how many goalkeepers they have on their books now. We've had Jeacock four years ago who has done little or nothing since, not even sure if he's played a noddy cup game for the first team, then there was another Brum keeper and a WBA one too IIRC who've probably just disappeared.

Windy conditions....

RE: On this day - Neil - 17-01-2024

On this day four years ago we signed this guy. We couldn't sign troy McClure now.
