Gloucester City 0 - 1 Northwich Victoria.  (Blue Square North).

It was an afternoon of frustration for City. This home match, being played at Cirencester Town's ground, was watched by a crowd of 316. The referee got to use his Cards during the game, showing Red Cards to two City players, Captain Tom Webb and Neil Mustoe. A Red Card was also shown to a Northwich player.
But it was Northwich who went onto winning the game.
The referee got to use HER Cards during the game, (Note to self, must do more thorough research).  Confused

That's a good question. I normally have some idea of where players go after they leave us but can't think where he might've gone.

He was at Mangoes with Boris but not sure where he ended up after that

Lots of bad injuries. Never really recovered from that horrific leg break. A shame as he was being scouted by Football League clubs. Key player during our promotion season.

20 years ago today Tom Webb almost fainted.

The 11th August 2009 was a Special Day for GCAFC. This was the day for our First Home Game, in the Blue Square North. Gloucester were playing Home Matches at Cirencester Town, a crowd of 326 was in attendance.
City's first home opponents at this level of football, were Eastwood Town. Eastwood, known as The Badgers, come from Nottinghamshire.
This game was played on a Tuesday, and Eastwood went onto enjoy this midweek fixture, beating Gloucester 3 - 1. Mike Symons was the goalscorer for City.

Ah Eastwood Town, went bust in 2014 then dissolved.
Now a phoenix club is playing in the United Counties league

And people moan about us having a synthetic pitch these days! At least birds don't eat all the grass seed over the summer...
