Lovely goal too, a direct free kick which reared up on a divot in front of the keeper and popped up over him. Amazing feeling to go away and win in midweek. I keep going for nights like that,

It's a shame there's not more video footage from those mid-late 90's days. Arguably our 'glory years' and it all just lives in our memories.

Yes and no. Yes for what you've said and no because the footage quality is appalling compared to what we're used to in 1080 pixel HD and more!

Wishing a Very Happy Birthday to ex GCAFC Manager, Leroy Rosenior. Leroy assembled the 1996/97 League and FA Trophy challenging Team. Just a shame we just missed out on getting Promotion, (a day at Wembley Stadium would have been nice).
Since then, he has been involved in TV work.

Monday 26th August, 1996.
Gloucester City 0 - 3 Halesowen Town. (Beazer Homes Premier).
On this Bank Holiday Monday, Gloucester City were hosting Halesowen Town. We had made an unbeaten start to the season. City manager Leroy Rosenior had signed prolific striker Dale Watkins from Rushden and Diamonds in pre season. The attacking part of the team looked strong, with Dale being supported by Adie Mings, and David Holmes.
This match at Meadow Park, was the first match that my Late Uncle went to watch. I told him previously about Gloucester City AFC, he said he would have to come and watch them. We went to the game, a crowd of 1152 was at the ground. My Uncles first game was to see Gloucester get beat 3 - 0 by Halesowen, (who had previously been tough opponents for Gloucester).
This result was to not put my Uncle off from going again. He became a regular supporter after that, he enjoyed the atmosphere of that first game.
## As Homer Simpson would say 'Doh'! Just realized that today is the 27th August. Will Post this, and do one relating to the 27th. Sorry. ##

Always thought Halesowen would get promotion before City, they always seemed to have larger crowds, that was until Mason took charge!
Where are they now?

Always have to be wary of people like that getting involved in clubs. The American at Oxford is another. He's in jail for 15 years over there.
