Trowbridge wasn't it?

RE: On this day - Severnside - 12-07-2022

I thought Talboys came from Trowbridge to City also ??

RE: On this day - SHANDY LOVE MACHINE - 12-07-2022

He definitely played for Longwell Green, not sure if he came directly from there now you mention it.

Just checked the Tim Clark bible. Longwell Green to Trowbridge to City.

13th July 2006.

Meadow Park was hosting a pre season friendly on this date. The visitors were Kidderminster Harriers, a crowd of 245 was attending this match.
Gloucester lost 5 - 1 against the Team from Worcestershire. City's goalscorer was ex striker Luke Corbett.

RE: On this day - SHANDY LOVE MACHINE - 13-07-2022

Thanks for that Neil.

I'll not have a bad word say against him, as a key member of the 1989/90 Championship winning team, and a goalscorer in the Cardiff FA Cup misomemory. I was lucky enough not to see his return to MP, and I like to think that with his move into the Football League he made the most of his ability.

You were lucky. He was a totally different player. When he went to Wimbledon he was a Robbie Earle type attacking midfielder, the only problem was that they already had Robbie Earle. There's a good interview with him here.
