Our Epic 2 Legged FA Trophy Semi Final against Dagenham and Redbridge, ended up all square. A Replay was required, and Slough Towns ground was the venue.
Around 15 coaches of GCAFC supporters made the trip to Slough. Can remember a big number of City fans behind one goal. A crowd of 2053 was at the game, City took the lead through David Holmes, dare to dream? Then Dagenham went onto score twice, to win 2 - 1, and book a Wembley Stadium FA Trophy Final against Woking.
Dale Watkins was Sent Off, towards the end of the game.
I believe that Woking were playing Stevenage Borough in a Semi Final Replay at Watford.
D&R went out at Wembley with the intention of kicking their opponents off the park - they lost

Mark Sumpter played in goal. He lived on my delivery for a while, I reminded him of that game when he let a shot squirm through his legs in front of the T-End!

27th April 2019.
On this date, Gloucester City AFC played there last Vanarama South fixture, before returning to the North section the following season.
We were away to Woking for the Final game of the 2018/19 season. A crowd of 1881 saw City Win 2 - 1. The goalscorers were Jake Jackson, and Fabien Robert.
In the second half, I watched the game from the top of the big seated stand behind the goal (up in the Gods). It was a fantastic view, until I realised after the game finished, as you walked back down to the bottom of the stand, there was no handrails. Don't know if it has changed now.

27th April 1974.
Our former striker Tony Jacques scored a hat-trick against us in a 4-2 loss away to Banbury United - as they did the double over us (6-3 agg).
Colin Moulsdale also played against us in this fixture before two seasons later coming back to play for us again, this time as captain and then as player-manager.
We are likely to play Banbury again next season.

He mentioned playing for Banbury when I spoke to him the other week, he loved it there.

Guest of honour for both sides in our two fixtures next season.
