20th January 2007.
On this date, Gloucester City AFC were at Meadow Park, playing Bath City in a Southern League Premier Division fixture.
Meadow Park had a crowd of 568 for this game. But the Home supporters didn't have much to cheer, as we went onto lose 4 - 0.
This was the old Meadow Parks last season, before our exile in July 2007.

Hyde 2 - 4 GCAFC
Yes, I was at this game. The Manchester City reserves/youth team played there. Kabba scoring two goals, did not seem to be with us that long. Did he get sent off in a home match Vs Lowestoft Town?
Hyde were one of those teams that got Promoted to the National League, in that league for say two seasons, get relegated, then disappear. A bit like North Ferriby United, got Promoted, Won the FA Trophy, got relegated, then disappeared.

January 25th 1992. Bity of a **** day for City, losing at Crawley 2-5. We passed the coach broken down on the M4 near Reading, the report says that Ollie Millard drove there to get the teamsheet in on time to avoid a fine but I'm sure it was Trev King that did it.
We had a different starting XI every week under Millard, new players all the time, this team featured Gareth Taylor who went on to have a very good career and is now manager of Manchester City Ladies.
Veteran league winger Tony Towner had turned our young left back Alex Crook inside out in the first half, we went in 1-4 down so Taylor switched sides for the second half, within minutes he's kicked Towner up in the air and had him in his pocket for the rest of the game.

Wishing current GCAFC's Number 4 Tom Harrison a Very Happy Birthday. Tom was initially signed on loan from Bristol City. He was to later join City in a permanent deal.
A central defender, he had recently been playing as a defensive midfielder. Unfortunately not in the side at the moment through injury.
