2nd January 1998.
Wishing former City loan player Jack Storer a Very Happy Birthday. Jack joined us on loan from Birmingham City during the 2017/18 season. The striker played for us when we were in the National League South, he made seven appearances, scoring one goal. His goal was scored in our league match away to Poole Town.

3rd January 1994 - away to Bashley. It seemed that every game everywhere had been called off but we drove down to the New Forest in hope more than expectation on the back of Keith Gardner's arrival and a raft of new signings. Darren Tilley and Nicky Hughes among the scores in a 5-4 win. It's not often a player can score four goals in a game and still be on the losing side

5th January 1974.
This one is a bit random. It is based on the year that I was born.
Gloucester City AFC had a home match against Kidderminster Harriers. (Sorry, not too sure where we played home games then. Longlevens or Horton Road)? It was an SL1N match, the league we were in I take it. A crowd of 182 watched this match, which City drew 1 - 1. A player with the Surname Bird scored City's goal. I think it was a bit before Alan and Dave's time. Will have to look it up.

6th January 1989.
Wishing Fabien Robert a Very Happy Birthday. Fabien initially joined Gloucester City on loan, when we were in the National League South. During his loan spell, he scored some wonder goals, the goal he scored at Truro City being one of them.

and the one at Slough. He scored his first after 17 seconds of his debut against Plymouth Parkway. I hadn't even got down to the end before the ball was in the net. Hope we see more of him this season as he has still got it.

Our current record holder for most appearances, Dr Niall said he was the fittest player he had worked with so I think plenty more appearances still to make. Another season (or two) and we may even become the club that he has made most of his appearances for. Joyeux Anniversaire Fabien.

7th January 2006 - City lost 4-5 at home to Tiverton Town. Neil Mustoe was manager and Lee Mansell's brother Rich was on the scoresheet for City!
