Harry Williams isn't exactly setting the world alight one league below. If we were looking at anyone in the league below, it would have to be Tony Lee from Poole who already has 25 goals (whereas Harry Williams only has 4, and a few more from a loan spell in the league below that in Cirencester).
MMc & Hulbert together are a good combination...Hulbert hasn't scored since MMc has been suspended so hopefully we'll be back in goals soon.

I would think Lee at Poole would be likely to go to Weymouth or similar in National League, unless he has a clause to go to a higher standard he would demand a fee, not something we often do in the recent past is it?
He will be in demand for sure soon enough....

Three games on the 29th of December, all away from home; Dorchester 0-1 in 1991, Racing Club Warwick in 2001 and Torquay in 2019.
My brother wasn't feeling well at Dorchester, he had a bottle of some kind of medicine that you take a teaspoon at a time but he was drinking it from the bottle. He spent most of the game on the toilet. RC Warwick was goalless, it was played on the muddiest pitch I've ever seen. The players must've been absolutely knackered after that.
And Torquay.
It was just a league game but I hold it in as high of esteem as the Cardiff away game, a proper occasion. It was almost the end of Chris Todd but he was so unlucky that day. I was sat pretty much next to Gary Johnson, when they scored he did a slow motion clenched fist celebration, it was delayed from the instant euphoria of the goal so I think he did it on my behalf, I missed out on a decent photo op there!
I thought we were robbed too, Sam Avery had a last minute equaliser ruled out for a foul on the keeper. AP was talking to me as they all queued to get out and I told him so only for a home fan to but in and my response wasn't too kind. I take my football seriously!!!

Saturday 29th December 2019.
Torquay United Vs Gloucester City.
I was at the Torquay United game in 2019. Good thing about being in the National League North/South, is you have the opportunity to visit ex league Clubs. Had trips to, Stockport County, Kidderminster Harriers, Boston United etc, and with trips to come to York City and Hereford FC.
Torquay United was one of those memorable trips. We walked round the outside of the ground, visited the Club Shop, then went inside the ground. Visiting Supporters were housed at the end of a Stand, running alongside the length of the pitch. The Scoreboard which was positioned in the corner of the ground was impressive.
A good crowd of 3000 odd was at the game, I thought we played well, considering the bad run we were on under Chris Todd. Chris could not seem to buy a win, in his spell as manager, I think he had some draws.
His opposite number at this game, Gary Johnson, is an experienced manager. Has had success at Yeovil town and C********m Town, and was manager of Bristol City? Also managed a team in Latvia?
We lost the game 2 - 1, Odin Bailey (on loan from Birmingham City) scored our goal. Torquay had a French central defender who we had on trial at a preseason match, Niate? I thought he looked good when he had the trial match with us.
A Good Trip to Torquay, despite the result.

He managed Bristol City to a Championship Playoff Final, and managed the Latvian National Team.

31st December 1994.
A fixture that we played on New Year's Eve in 1994. Gloucester City AFC had a Beazer Homes Premier match at Meadow Park against Leek Town.
Can't recall what happened to Leek Town. We played them in league fixtures, for just this one season. I think they might have been transferred to the Northern Premier? I can remember them having a prolific goalscoring midfielder, Wheaton I think his Surname was. I will have to look it up.
Onto the game, Meadow Park had an excellent crowd of 832. City won 2 - 0, with Mike Kilgour and Dave Mitchell scoring the goals.
A good way to end that particular year off.

Not many games played on New Years Eve, but the 1-3 defeat at Yate in 2005 proved to be the final straw for Chris Burns who resigned afterwards with the next home game against Salisbury being his last.

1st January 2013.
Gloucester City AFC kicked off this New Year with a home (C********m Town, Whaddon Road) league match against Worcester City. The league was named, Blue Square Bet North.
In this clash of the two City's, it was Gloucester who would go onto win this match. It was a 4 - 2 win for Gloucester, played in front of a crowd of 640.
We had four different goalscorers, Jordan Goddard, Darren Edwards, Will Morford and Lewis Hogg, completing a good team performance.

You've missed the best part there.
1-0 to 4-0 in six minutes at the start of the second half. Enjoy...

2nd January 1995.
On this date, Gloucester City AFC had a league match away at Dorchester Town. This Beazer Homes League Premier Division match saw a 4 - 2 win for Dorchester.
The Prince of Wales Stadium saw a crowd of 1118. The City goalscorers were Kevin Willetts and Steve Portway.
